So this past Tuesday December 1st, MOI was invited to go to the 2009 SESAC Christmas Party down in Hollywood. We had an amazing time and got to talk to some amazing people. Good stuff is coming!

I don't know if you actually read these emails. But here's hoping.
I just wanted to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I was at my church (CCM) last wednesday when you guys played; I didn't know that it was a special event or anything. I'm ashamed to say that I had never even heard of MOI. I wasn’t going to go to church that night...but I know that it was god. Idk what you story is, the lead singer, but um...when you sang Superman, and the way you were talking about it. Sigh. I sensed the same thing that happened to me. And...I thought that I had given all that hate and anger and shame I felt-I thought that I had given it all to God already. When you started singing...I know the lord used your band to show me the hidden wound that had been slowly festering in my heart. I cried so much. It was a very scary and rewarding experience. Being so vulnerable out in the open. I wanted to shut my feelings down, because I felt so embarrassed. Crying violently in front of everyone. But god let it all come rushing out. By the end of the song I felt drained. In a very good way. God allowed me to hear that song in order to empty out me and fill myself with him. There's nothing left of my hatred.

I wanted to write to the band because I feel every artist deserves to know they're making a difference. That your music touches people in such a profound way, it is truly a gift from god. It’s not even that you guys are exceptionally talented musicians; (whoever plays the bass...wonderful! and of course the lead singer, you hit notes I couldn't even dream of reaching!) it's just...the hand of god.

I hope the lord continues to bless all of you in your life and your music. Thank you so so much. I look forward to seeing the band play at the nokia center. (It's for Hear His Voice right!?!?!) I'm going to be there volunteering but hopefully I will have the pleasure of hearing you guys play again.
